Is Your Life a Park?

Is Your Life a Park?

Not every day
Is Your Life a ParkIs a walk in the park;
Not every song
Will bring light to the dark.

Not every hope
Will realize its path-
Unless we are thankful
For all the we have.

For inside each day
Is a chance to give love
The outcome of days-
Who and what you thought of.

For thoughts turn to actions,
And actions to words;
Take care what is said,
And take care what is heard.

For every word
Brings harm or delight,
And every action
Brings kindness, or fright.

Is your life a park?
Do you let your love flow?
This reminder today-
We reap what we sow.

“We live and breathe words. …. It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them. Reading your words, what you wrote, how you were lonely sometimes and afraid, but always brave; the way you saw the world, its colors and textures and sounds, I felt–I felt the way you thought, hoped, felt, dreamt. I felt I was dreaming and thinking and feeling with you. I dreamed what you dreamed, wanted what you wanted–and then I realized that truly I just wanted you.” ―Cassandra Clare

  1. Awesome little poem. I truly enjoyed it and no, my life isn’t a park every single day, but I work hard to keep the joy flowing and keep things positive as much as possible.
