Weekly Writing Prompt 5-10-2017

Well, what can I say but, “Don’t Try This at Home.”  LOL  For the Weekly Writing Prompt 5-10-2017 this week I decided to try and see if I could use Facebook Live.

Well it did work but not as well as I had hoped it would.  Maybe if I had set the tripod on a table so there would have been no movement of the camera, but hey when you’re experimenting you don’t think of everything on the first try.

  1.  A little boy really sees Santa (or the tooth fairy), but he has a difficult time making adults believe him.
  2.  Be a fly (or any insect) on the wall and tell a story from their perspective.
  3.  Your new computer can read your mind and embarrass you in front of your friends.

Always keep in mind that if the three writing prompts I get from Writing.com (Aff.) do not almost instantly give you an idea then go to Writing.com and find another one.  When you post it in the comments section, let us know what the prompt was and your story that goes with it.

I don’t remember if I’ve mentioned this, but I am a pushover (i.e. downright obsessed) when it comes to journals, notebooks and anything to write in. Even steno pads, loose leaf paper and little pocket sized notebooks.

The pictures above are just my partial collection and the ones I could put my hands on quickly for this post.  I have many more packed away (some used, some brand new).

It really doesn’t matter what you use to write in, just that you have something you enjoy looking at and will have close to you all the time when you happen to have a quick thought come to mind and you don’t want to forget it.

Don’t forget to check out the other Weekly Writing Prompts in my past posts and read some of the stories that have been written using prompts.

Have you ever thought about designing your own notebooks or journals?  I have.  In fact, I did create one for myself and it’s on Amazon but I could just as easily create something for you.

  1. Hi Monna, writing prompts are great, I love them. For some reason I never write about what the prompt suggests but the prompt always makes something else spring into my head! For example, the Santa prompt forced another idea to the front, Christmas related but not exactly that prompt idea. Interesting, isn’t it, how our minds work.

    Enjoy the journey!

  2. Writing Prompt: #2 Be a fly (or any insect) on the wall and tell a story from their perspective.
